Though the debate of whether or not science should be mixed with politics at all is still raging, it doesn’t change the fact that current US President, Donald Trump, has much to say on the matter. On Tuesday, March 28th, it appears as though Trump will begin to move away from former President’s, Barack Obama, climate policies.
It’s a well-known fact that Donald Trump isn’t overly concerned with climate change, nor does he really believe it to be a fact. Multiple reports say that Trump will sign an executive order on Tuesday, and EPA head, Scott Pruitt has spoken about what the executive order should entail.
“The executive order will address the past administration’s efforts to kill jobs across this country through the Clean Power Plan,” Said Pruitt to ABC News this past Sunday. No one is sure what the executive order will entail exactly, but the thought is that the order will command the EPA to rewrite, if not get rid of, the laws that regulate how much carbon dioxide is put into the atmosphere.
If this is the case, this wouldn’t be a surprise. Scott Pruitt has said that he doesn’t believe that carbon dioxide is a great contributing factor to climate change.
